Every name draw runs on Sorteador servers with a cryptographically secure random shuffle (CSPRNG), the same kind of randomness used in security systems. Every name on the list has exactly the same chance, and nothing you type influences the result.
The result is stored with date, time and the full list of participants. That is why Sorteador has been used since 2009 in giveaways, raffles and contests that need to prove the draw was impartial.
Tips for a transparent name draw
- Paste the full list and check the participant count before drawing.
- If you can, draw live or record your screen: the result appears instantly, with no editing.
- Share the result link with participants. It shows the winners and the list that was drawn.
- For more than one winner, use "no repeats" so the same name is not picked twice.
